Annoying (.crdownload) issue

Thanks for the reply. I like your username btw! I have my downloads set to my desktop. I never stop a download and the download doesn't fail either when this happens. I actually just had it happen again a few minutes ago. Downloaded fine, file shows up fine but the .crdownload doesn't get deleted. So aggravating!

However, I realised they whenever I take a screenshot, the entire webpage is saved as a pdf into the Downloads folder in Files. Also, Safari did not show that a file was being downloaded (the download icon did not show). I use software version 15.5.

Airdropped PDF file not showing up in iPad

That includes the Files App, photos app, iBook app and Pages app. The iPad search feature didn't help. It couldn't even find known files I had in the Messages app. I Airdropped using the same Apple ID. I really thought it would end up in the Files app, but no. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! iPad 9 IOS 15.7

iPad malicious PDF

Malicious PDF files are going to be trying to exploit attack vectors that shouldn't be present on an iPad. Most AV vendors are going to have a submission site that you can send the file to and get back a response of "this file was malicious, thank you" or "no, we couldn't find anything wrong with this file".

Downloading files from Dropbox & OneDrive onto the iPad

These PDF files are fine when viewed on the Mac, but any app on IOS (iBooks, Dropbox, Box, Documents) crashes when trying to open the files. There must be some embedded formatting code or links that IOS can't handle. This is a significant problem since the IOS version of Safari can't create its own PDF files. As good as IOS is, it's not perfect.

Where can I find Word docs and PDFs downloaded on my iPad …

I don't have WhatsApp app so my idea is most probably stupid but still. With Files app check the folders on the iPad storage. Usually there is folder for every app that comes with downloaded files. So check if there is such folder (Whatsapp). Also check in Settings/Whatsapp if there is setting about the destination where such files should be ...
