Characterization of an activated carbon electrode made from coconut
The precursors (i.e., coconut shell) are reportedly collected from the Perungudi, Chennai. After cleaning and sun drying for 2–3 days, the coconut shell is crushed into powder followed by sieving to get fine powdered particles. The obtained powder containing carbon is then heat treated in a muffle furnace at 300 °C for 6 hours.
